What Readers Are Saying
"Ring the Bell! is a heartfelt and beautifully written children's book that handles a tough topic with warmth and honesty. Julia's journey as she navigates her mom's breast cancer diagnosis is both touching and inspiring. I loved how the story showed real, practical ways for kids to cope with fear and stress while emphasizing the importance of family and love. It's a powerful reminder that even in the hardest times, hope and resilience can shine through."
"Wow, Ring the Bell! hit me right in the feels! Julia's story is like a hug for anyone going through a tough time, reminding us that love and a little ice-cube-throwing therapy can make all the difference. I mean, who doesn't need a book that's honest, uplifting, and packed with hope? Plus, the fact that it supports breast cancer patients and research? Total win-win."
"Very lovely and comforting book. This is written by a young woman, who is now involved in educating others and raising funds, which tells the story of dealing with her Mom's cancer. Happily her Mom is fine and this young woman is now in high school and is reaching out and helping others. The story is well told and provides comfort and resources to cope with major illness of a parent."
"This is a parent-child, mother-daughter bond story which withstands the cancer experience. The author, who is now a grown-up (still a young one), reflects on the time when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. In this brief book, she manages to illustrate the pain, the hardships, the coping, and the aftermath with some tips for the young ones."
