Outnumbered Inc. ("Outnumbered", "we", "us") operates the website at https://www.outnumberedny.org (the "Site"). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information the Site collects, how we use it, and who else may receive it.

Information We Collect Automatically

You may choose to send us information — for example, when you email us, make a donation, or ask about a school visit or partnership. We use it to respond to you, to process and acknowledge donations, and to keep records required of a charitable organization. We do not sell or rent your information.

Donations and Payment Processing

Donations are processed by Stripe. When you donate, you are redirected to Stripe's secure checkout and your card details are entered there. Outnumbered never receives or stores your full card number. We receive the information Stripe reports back to us about the donation, such as your name, email address, and the amount given, so that we can thank you and keep our records. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Measurement

The Site uses browser storage to remember preferences such as light or dark mode. We may also use Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics, and Google Ads conversion tracking to understand how visitors find and use the Site and whether our outreach is working. Vercel and Google may receive technical information about your visit, including your IP address and the pages you view, and Google services may set cookies. We use this information in aggregate to improve the Site, not to identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; the Site remains usable if you do. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Children's Privacy

Our books and programs are for children, but this Site is intended for parents, educators, and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Sites

The Site links to third-party websites we do not control — for example Amazon, Stripe, our social media accounts, and the anti-bullying resources we reference. This policy does not apply to their practices or content. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.

The entire Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and we use commercially reasonable precautions to protect information collected through the Site.
